Renaissance

Oil paint became the principle medium for art works during the European Renaissance and has so remained for 600 years. The Mona Lisa was painted by Leonardo da Vinci in 1506, yet after 500 years it is still enjoyed as the most visited oil painting of all time.

At Briers Heirloom Portraits, the pinnacle of our product line is a completely hand painted oil on canvas, our Renaissance finish.  Painted by a masterful artist, we capture the essence of our subjects in this rich, enduring medium that could be treasured in your family for hundreds of years.

Modern Masterpiece

Our Modern Masterpiece finish is painted by a highly skilled artist, with all the depth and richness of an oil painting, using state of the art technology. Instead of brushes and oil, the artist uses a tablet and stylus to paint the portrait digitally. It is then rendered on high quality canvas, mounted and physically painted with a clear medium to produce visible brush strokes. This results in a veristic look to the portrait and protects it from degradation; promoting it's heirloom status for generations to come.

Artisan

With a delicate balance between artistry and photography, our Artisan finish is expertly retouched to have a painterly feel. Great attention is paid to every detail, resulting in an ethereal quality to your portrait. It is rendered on a canvas-embossed substrate and coated with a clear protectant to allow enjoyment for generations.
