Studio Policies
Portrait sessions are by appointment only.
All appointments require a $100 reservation fee at the time of booking to assure that we are booking serious and committed clients. This is fully refundable on the day of your portrait viewing. Rescheduling an appointment with less than 10 business days notice will results in a loss of the reservation fee. If you reschedule with at least 10 business days notice, then the reservation fee will be applied to the new appointment and will be refunded at the time of the portrait viewing. The reservation fee is not refundable for permanently cancelled appointments. Rescheduling and cancellations can only be made by phone, not by email.
For portrait sittings with more than one adult, all adults must be present for the selection process. We cannot make any exceptions to this policy.
Our portraits are finished works of art, produced to our highest standards. Portraits can take 8-12 weeks to complete.
We do not sell digital files.
Attire
Dress as if you are dining at a fine restaurant or attending a formal event such as a wedding. Black is classic and timeless. Dark colors tend to make you look slimmer. Long sleeves are most flattering, but short sleeves are fine. Avoid busy patterns, stripes, and clothing with words, logos or pictures. In portraitature, your face and eyes should be the focus of attention, not your clothing.
Men always look great in tuxedos or dark suits. If you choose not to wear a tie, a dark jacket with a button-down shirt will look good.
Women can wear formal gowns or dresses. Dresses that fall below the knee or long pants are recommended.
When you select an outfit for a family portrait, be sure to think of how it will coordinate with other family members. Pick a color scheme, and keep it consistent with each family member’s outfit.
Our suggestion for formal is in your best interest. Fashions change, and we want you to look timeless. If you insist on casual attire, please choose clothing that is a dark color and solid, no busy patterns.
